2 suspects arrested in fatal early morning shooting in Belltown

SEATTLE — Two people were arrested Saturday in connection to a fatal shooting in Seattle’s Belltown neighborhood early Monday morning, according to the Seattle Police Department.

At about 4:30 a.m. Monday, officers responded to a report of shots fired near the intersection of 3rd Avenue and Bell Street.

Upon arriving at the scene, police found a 37-year-old man who had been shot multiple times.

Officers began first aid while Seattle Fire Department personnel were en route to the scene.

SFD transported the man to Harborview Medical center, where he later died.

On Saturday, SPD announced the arrest of two people involved in the shooting.

A 43-year-old man was arrested for murder and unlawful possession of a firearm, and a 32-year-old woman was arrested for rendering criminal assistance.

Both suspects were booked into the King County Jail.
