Seattle Humane Society in need of pet food donations

BELLEVUE, Wash. — The Seattle Humane Society said it is in desperate need of food donations for its pet food bank.

The organization is having problems filling requests due to delays in receiving its delivery order and is in immediate need of cans wet cat and dog food as well as dry cat food.

A post on Twitter said the group is down to just one pallet of dry cat food.

Seattle Humane said it can accept any type of wet dog and cat food, and dry cat food, though it gets many requests for grain-free food.

No prescription diet food is need.

The Seattle Humane Society said its pet food bank serves more than 900 clients and provides them with all types of food.

Donations can be dropped off at the Seattle Humane Society at 13212 Southeast Eastgate Way in Bellevue. There is a designated area for donations on the lower parking level.
