In a post on X.com, the Seattle Fire Department said crews are responding to an apartment unit on fire on East Republican Street in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood.
Shortly after 8 p.m., the department said no injuries were found in its first and second searches of the building.
KIRO 7 is sending a crew to the scene.
400 block of E Republican St: basement fire has been knocked down. Firefighters are reentering the first floor to extinguish hot spots and check for extension in the attic. Primary and secondary searches of the building are complete. No injuries reported.
