Police searching for armed Seattle bank robbery suspect, employee shot

SEATTLE — A bank employee was shot during a robbery in Seattle on Friday afternoon, according to the Seattle Police Department.

Just after 1 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting at a bank in the 1900 block of 1st Avenue South.

Medics with the Seattle Fire Department treated the employee.

He was transported to Harborview Medical Center in stable condition.

Seattle police and the FBI are investigating and are searching the area.
