Search for Grays Harbor missing child continues, parents in custody

Officials are asking for the public’s help to locate a missing Grays Harbor child, according to the Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s Office.

Oakley Carlson is a 5-year-old girl and a resident of Oakville, Washington.

Detectives consider her disappearance suspicious.

Officials consider her parents, Jordan Bowers and Andrew Carlson, as persons of interest.

They were initially booked Monday for obstruction of an officer. They are currently in custody for abandonment at the Grays Harbor County Jail.

Officials are searching the child’s home, noting the investigation is only in its initial stages.

It’s unclear when the child was last seen.

Her former foster family, Erik and Jamie Jo Hiles, had Oakley until November 2019. They said Oakley is “the best thing that ever happened to us.”

In 2019, the Dept. of Children, Youth & Families placed Oakley back with her biological parents.

Jamie Jo tells KIRO 7 she questioned the move because she saw red flags in returning Oakley to the Carlsons.

If you know where Oakley is, call 911.

If you have seen Oakley in the last year or have any other information, call the Grays Harbor Sheriff’s Office non-emergency line at 360-533-8765 and ask to speak to a deputy or call Sgt. Paul Logan at 360-964-1729.
