Neil Gehring was last seen 10 days ago at the Madison Falls Trailhead at Olympic National Park.
The 26-year-old left the trailhead on Aug. 31 for an overnight backpacking trip and was reported missing on Sept. 2, according to a Facebook post from Seattle Mountain Rescue.
Rescue crews have spent the past week searching for Gehring. The National Park Service believes he packed an orange tent.
Volunteer organization Seattle Mountain Rescue recently shared that they have more than a dozen people assisting in the search for Gehring. The group uses drones, thermal imaging, and artificial intelligence to search large areas.
The National Park Service is asking anyone who was in the area or may have information that could assist the search to contact the NPS Investigative Services Branch Tip Line at 888-653-0009 or at OLYM_Tips@cloud.doi.gov.
