RENTON, Wash. — Seahawks running back Chris Carson has been named the NFC Player of the Month for December.
Carson finished the regular season by rushing for more than 100 yards in three consecutive games – including a 116-yard, two-touchdown performance against the Kansas City Chiefs that helped the Seahawks clinch a Wild Card playoff spot.
In five games in December, Carson had 103 carries for 516 yards and five touchdowns.
Carson’s performances in December helped him finish fifth in the NFL with 1,151 rushing yards this season.
A seventh-round draft pick in the 2017 NFL Draft out of Oklahoma State, Carson returned to action this season after his rookie season was cut short due to injury.
Carson and the Seahawks will play the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday at 5:15 p.m. in Arlington, Texas.
