RENTON, Wash. - Less than a week into their offseason the Seattle Seahawks have already begun turning over their roster for next year.

Former Los Angeles Rams kicker Sam Ficken was signed to a reserve/future deal by Seattle on Friday, according to ESPN’s Field Yates

The 26-year-old free agent went undrafted in 2015 out of Penn State University. Sebastian Janikowski, the Seahawks kicker in 2018, is scheduled to be a free agent in March.

Ficken spent time on the offseason rosters of the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2016 and the Kansas City Chiefs in 2017 before joining the Rams in December of 2017.

Over the past two seasons, Ficken appeared in four games for the Rams – filling in as an injury replacement for Greg Zurlein.

Ficken has gone three-for-six in field goal attempts and 14-for-15 in extra points in his career. He was cut on Oct. 3 after missing a late field goal in a Rams win.
