RENTON, Wash. — The Seattle Seahawks have released veteran wide receiver Brandon Marshall, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Marshall, a six-time pro-bowler, signed a one-year contract with the Seahawks this offseason after being released by the New York Giants in April.

In seven games this season, Marshall recorded 11 receptions for 136 yards and one touchdown.

Marshall’s release comes with the emergence of second-year wide receiver David Moore who has four touchdowns in the Seahawks last three games.

In his 13 NFL seasons, Marshall has also played for the Denver Broncos, the Miami Dolphins, the Chicago Bears, the New York Jets, and the New York Giants.

Marshall, who is 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 232 pounds, currently ranks 22nd all-time in NFL history with 12,315 career receiving yards.

The (4-3) Seahawks return home on Sunday to host the (5-2) Los Angeles Chargers at CenturyLink Field.
