ESPN’s Adam Schefter backed up the report, but added clarification that Mixon, who had a foot injury last year, still needs to pass his medical test.
Schefter adds that Mixon is currently doing his physical Monday.
Mixon joined the NFL in 2017, after being drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft. Mixon spent seven seasons with the Bengals before being traded to the Houston Texans in 2024.
The Oklahoma-grad did not play in the 2025 season, dealing with an undisclosed foot injury.
Over eight seasons, Mixon amassed over 7,400 yards with 60 touchdowns, according to ESPN.
Mixon, once officially signed and cleared, would join the Seahawks’ practice squad.
