SEATTLE, Wash. — Just a day after giving an update on his health, Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold is off the injury list and ready to go.
According to Seahawks Head Coach Mike Macdonald, Darnold was a full participant at today’s practice, and he will play Sunday.
“Sam’s going to play and he’s ready to go,” Macdonald said.
With no listed injury, Darnold could play as soon as this Sunday, when the undefeated Seahawks take on the winless Washington Commanders.
Darnold suffered a glute injury week one, when the Seahawks faced the New England Patriots in a rematch of Super Bowl LX.
Backup quarterback Drew Lock filled in for the injured Darnold and led the Seahawks to victory over the Patriots, 13-10.
Kickoff for the Commanders game is set for 10 a.m. in Maryland.
