A pet food company in Oregon is issuing a nationwide recall on some of its products because of Salmonella and Listeria contamination.
According to a notice from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Northwest Naturals issued a voluntary recall for 53 cases of cat food and 19 cases of dog food.
No illnesses have been reported so far in connection with the contaminated pet food, according to the recall notice.
The food was sold across the nation – including at stores in Washington.

Symptoms
Pets infected with Salmonella or Listeria may be lethargic and have diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, fever, and vomiting.
Some pets will have only decreased appetite, fever, and abdominal pain.
