Puget Sound Auto Theft Task Force giving out steering wheel locks amid rise in Hyundai, Kia thefts

In response to the recent rise in auto thefts in King and Pierce counties — particularly of Hyundai and Kia vehicles — the Puget Sound Auto Theft Task Force is giving out free steering wheel locks that will be distributed by local law enforcement agencies.

To receive the steering wheel lock, owners will need to bring their registration and key to show that they own a key-start Hyundai or Kia made between 2011 and 2021.
