BREMERTON, Wash. — A pregnant woman was seriously injured, and a motorcyclist was killed in a collision in Bremerton Wednesday night, according to Bremerton police.
The crash was reported at about 10 p.m. on Oct. 7 along Charleston Boulevard.
Bremerton Lt. Rodney Rauback said the motorcycle was carrying two people: a male rider, who died in the collision, and a pregnant female passenger, who was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center.
Police did not have an update on her condition at the time of the interview.
Witnesses told investigators the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed before the rider lost control and struck a raised median.
The occupants were thrown from the motorcycle, and the motorcycle collided with another vehicle traveling northbound, Rauback said.
Investigators determined that the driver of the other vehicle was intoxicated and arrested her for driving under the influence.
