Police searching for person who opened fire during Proud Boys, antifa clash

OLYMPICA, Wash. — Police are searching for the person who opened fire during a fight involving the Proud Boys and antifa members in downtown Olympia last weekend.

The Olympia Police Department released video showing what they said were antifa members running away from Proud Boys who were chasing them.

The video shows a person who stopped running and opened fire, hitting a man in the ankle.

The police chief said the Proud Boys plan to return on Sept. 18, in response to the shooting.

The chief is urging the Proud Boys and any counter-protesters to not return.
