2 killed in shooting in Des Moines

DES MOINES, Wash. — Two people were killed in a shooting in Des Moines late Friday, police said.

Officers responded at 9:25 p.m. to the 24000 block of 25th Avenue South for reports of a shooting.

They found a 54-year-old woman and 62-year-old man with gunshot wounds. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers also found 26-year-old man at the shooting scene. He was arrested and taken into custody for investigation of homicide.

Police said that all three people are related and seem to live at the same residence.

Detectives are continuing to investigate.
