Puyallup police are investigating a death after a body was found in the lake at Bradley Lake Park, the Puyallup Police Department said.
Officers and Central Pierce Fire & Rescue are on scene as the investigation continues.
Police said there is no danger to the public.
The park was temporarily closed while responders completed their work.
Police said a body was found in the lake and may have been there for some time. It was spotted floating about 25 feet from the bank.
Puyallup police said the body recovered was that of a woman.
Detectives are working to confirm whether the body found is related to a missing person’s case reported by the Pierce County sheriff’s office last month.
That person is 60-year-old Ginger Meier. She was last seen on Jan. 11 in the area of Bradley Lake Park.
The medical examiner will work to identify the victim and the cause of death.
