Police find pounds of drugs, dozens of guns at Renton man’s home

RENTON, Wash. — Two dozen guns and large amounts of fentanyl and other drugs were seized following the arrest of a suspected drug trafficker in Renton on Tuesday.

The arrest by Seattle police narcotics unit detectives and SWAT officers came after an investigation lasting several months.

The 43-year-old man was arrested outside an Issaquah hardware store. SWAT officers later served a warrant at the Renton man’s home, where officers say more than 13 pounds of drugs and 24 guns were recovered.

Seattle police said the drugs found in the home included:

  • 644 grams of fentanyl powder capable of producing about 300,000 counterfeit M30 pills
  • About 3,000 fentanyl pills
  • 3,039 grams of methamphetamine
  • 310 grams of heroin
  • 242 grams of Xanax tablets
  • 1,667 grams of cocaine
  • 13 doses of fentanyl in vials
  • 209 grams of suboxone

Officers said a variety of guns were also found, including:

  • 17 handguns, both semi-automatic and revolvers
  • Four semi-automatic rifles
  • One shotgun
  • Two high-caliber, bolt action rifles with scopes

The suspect, who is a felon and not allowed to own guns, into the King County Jail on weapons and drug charges.
