According to Snohomish County Fire District 22, emergency crews are responding to a single-engine plane crash in the 11000 block of 127th Ave NE in Lake Stevens.
According to the Getchel Fire Department, the pilot was the only person in the plane; he sustained serious injuries in the crash.
According to the department, the pilot was trapped in the aircraft when it crashed. After the department was able to remove the pilot from the plane, he was transported to a nearby trauma center.
The department said the plane landed in a backyard, avoiding any part of a house and missing a large propane tank in the yard.
The number of people impacted is not yet known. The department said there is no risk to the public.
