SEATTLE — A woman was hit by a Sound Transit train in Seattle’s Sodo neighborhood, according to a Seattle Fire Department post on social media.
The incident took place at the intersection of 2nd Ave S & S Spokane S. on Thursday afternoon.
According to the Seattle police department, the woman was crossing the tracks when she was hit by a train.
First responders worked on her at the scene before she was taken to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.
As of 2:30 p.m., the department said it has stopped all trains. As of 5:40 p.m., train service appears to be back up and running.
