BUCKLEY, Wash. — Washington State Patrol is investigating a deadly crash involving a woman who was hit by a car.
Troopers say she was hit by a car on State Route 162 near Lower Burnett, in the Prairie Heights neighborhood.
WSP announced the crash just before 6 p.m.
According to troopers, the woman was in one of the lanes of the road around 5:18 p.m. when the car hit her.
It’s unclear if she was walking on the roadway or if her car had broken down.
The road was closed for about three hours.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
WSP is still investigating whether impairment was a factor.
