BREMERTON, Wash. — A jogger was struck and seriously injured by a car Saturday evening in Bremerton, troopers said.
The incident happened around 5:30 p.m. on Northlake Way Northwest, near the 6800 block of Kitsap Way, where two people were jogging and one person was riding a bike on the shoulder of the road. The driver was headed southbound on Northlake Way.
The victim was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
The second jogger suffered a minor injury after being hit by debris, troopers said.
The bicyclist was not injured.
Authorities closed Northlake Way to investigate, but it has since been reopened.
The investigation remains ongoing.
