Pedestrian airlifted after being hit by car in Auburn

AUBURN, Wash. — A woman was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after she was hit by a car in Auburn Monday morning.

The woman was struck in the 3300 block of I Street Northeast.

Auburn police said the driver of the car, also a woman, was taken into custody.

A tweet from Valley Regional Fire Authority said the victim was treated by firefighters and medics before she was airlifted to the Seattle trauma center in critical condition.

The victim’s mother said her daughter died from her injuries shortly after arriving at the hospital.
