A fire near a Parkland neighborhood in Pierce County is out after the county implemented evacuations in the area.
According to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office, evacuations for the area are no longer in effect, and people who live in the area of 108th St. S to 111th St S to Sheridan Ave S in the Parkland neighborhood can return to their homes.
According to the Washington State Patrol, while the fire burned, traffic on State Route 512 was restricted as smoke billowed across the highway.
