RENTON, Wash. — Northbound State Route 167 in Renton will undergo a complete overnight closure from 10 p.m. Monday, Nov. 9, to 3:45 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, to allow construction crews to install a sign bridge, said the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT). All northbound travel lanes will be closed between South 180th Street and Interstate 405.
The installation is being conducted as part of the broader I-405/Renton to Bellevue Widening and Express Toll Lanes Project. The WSDOT said that a signed detour route will be in place to direct drivers around the road closure.
Along with the mainline highway closure, three key on- and off-ramps in the area will also be shut down during the overnight work window. The affected ramps include the South 43rd Street on-ramp to northbound SR 167, the northbound SR 167 off-ramp to northbound I-405, and the northbound SR 167 HOV off-ramp to northbound I-405.
State officials noted that the scheduled work is dependent on good weather conditions and may be rescheduled if weather forces a delay.
