SEATTLE, Wash. — Over 40,000 Seattle City Light (SCL) customers were without power Saturday, due to the strong winds and heavy rain.
According to the Seattle City Light, about 31,000 people are now currently without power. This extends from Shoreline all the way down to Gregory Heights.
Despite the current outages, Seattle City Light notes that they have prepared for this and crews will “work throughout the night to restore power,” according to SCL on X.
Crews are working to restore power as quickly and safely as possible. We want you to stay safe too. Please stay away from downed power lines & report them to 911. Traffic lights without power should now be stop signs. Never use grills to heat your home. Stay indoors. pic.twitter.com/jjdry006Jo
