Man injured in third Capitol Hill shooting since Saturday near Cal Anderson Park

SEATTLE — A man in his 30s was injured in an early Tuesday morning shooting in Capitol Hill, the third since Saturday.

Seattle police said that people began calling 911 to report a shooting in the 1100 block of East Denny Way around 4:37 a.m.

Medics responded and met the victim in an area outside the CHOP zone, according to a blotter post. Officials said the victim did not want to tell police the situation that led up to the shooting and did not provide a suspect description.

The man was brought to Harborview Medical Center with a wound to his calf and is in non-life threatening conditions, according to a hospital spokesperson.

There were additional reports of gunshots around the same time, but police said no victims were found.
