TACOMA, Wash. — A man is dead after a reported fight and shooting Wednesday in Tacoma.
Tacoma officers said they were flagged down about 3:30 p.m. by a passerby in the 700 block of South 16th Street, who reported a fight in a nearby alley.
The officer responded to an alley east of the 1500 block of South Yakima Avenue and found a 32-year-old suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg, officials said.
The officer performed first aid and lifesaving measures until medics arrived to take him to the hospital, where the man later died from his injuries.
Police said they are searching for the shooter.
Officials did not say what led to the fight and shooting but are investigating.
