According to the Washington Department of Transportation, northbound I-5 in Pierce County is down to one lane after a multi-car crash blocked the left three lanes shortly after 1 pm Friday.
UPDATE: Before 2pm, the department reopened a lane. Drivers are still cautioned to expect slower traffic in the area.
