On your marks, get set, go! RunX Seattle is launching its first-ever half marathon on Sunday, June 13, 2027.

The goal of the marathon is to immerse participants in the Emerald City’s vibrant culture and help them experience Seattle in a different way while running its streets.

“RunX is built around a simple idea: no two cities run the same,” event officials said in a news release.

Run details in the works

The half marathon is being developed in partnership with the Seattle Sports Commission. Plans include involving local run clubs, businesses, and cultural organizations leading up to and during race weekend.

Participants are also set to receive a finisher medal, entry to a post-race celebration, a T-shirt, one free beer, and support along the course.

Event organizers are building a U.S. Track & Field-certified route, according to the RunX Seattle website. Full course details will be announced at a later date.
