ATLANTA — NFL owners have voted unanimously to approve the $9.6 billion sale of the Seattle Seahawks to venture capitalist Vinod Khosla and family, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

“How often do you get to buy a team that just won the Super Bowl,” Khosla said after the sale. “We are incredibly lucky and humbled by this gift.”
The purchase price of $9.6 billion for the franchise is the highest anyone has paid for an NFL team.
Despite the vote, the Seahawks have not been officially sold -- yet.
KIRO 7 talked to Gregg Bell, longtime Seahawks beat writer for Tacoma News Tribune, just yesterday. Bell believes the NFL will take a week to go through the details of the transfer from Paul G. Allen’s estate to Khosla.
After ironing out any issues, Khosla will be announced as the new owner of the Seattle Seahawks.
While Khosla waits to be formally introduced, the prospective new owner already has immediate plans in mind.
“The task ahead is actually pretty simple -- keep the winning streak alive, get another Super Bowl,” Khosla said.
