New COVID-19 testing facility opens at SEA Airport

SEATAC, Wash. — Seattle-Tacoma International Airport opened an XpresCheck COVID-19 testing facility inside the terminal Wednesday.

The company’s first testing facility on the West Coast is located before security in the baggage claim area near carousel 9.

With eight testing rooms available, the site is expected to have the capacity to do more than 500 tests per day.

Testing options include a Rapid Molecular COVID-19 test where samples are checked at the on-site lab and passengers can wait for their results. Another testing option is the Polymerase Chain Reaction test where the sample is sent to an outside lab.

Testing is by appointment for ticketed passengers up to 72 hours before travel and is available seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
