Middle school para-educator in Forks arrested for rape of child

FORKS, Wash. — A 39-year-old para-educator was arrested Thursday at Forks High School on investigation of second-degree rape of a child.

Deputies with the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office said they received information that they para-educator may have been involved with a 13-year-old Forks Middle School student.

In their investigation, deputies said they developed probable cause that the 39-year-old woman committed multiple counts of rape of a child and gave the child prescription medication and alcohol.

According to deputies, the woman admitted to having “a sexual relationship” with the minor from Nov. 2019 to Jan. 2020. Deputies said the first case of rape happened in the classroom and later cases happened outside of school.

The woman was booked at the Clallam County Corrections facility and the case is pending review from prosecutors for formal charges.
