MASON COUNTY, Wash. — Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) deputies arrested a 69-year-old man Saturday at a residence in the area of Northeast Trudeau Mountain Road. They say he faces a charge of communication with a minor for immoral purposes.
The MCSO says the arrest followed an investigation that began in early October 2026, when a civilian group known as Predator Poachers of Washington alerted law enforcement. The group reported concerns about online communications between the man and someone believed to be a 13-year-old girl.
A patrol deputy conducted a follow-up investigation after receiving the tip, developing probable cause to make an arrest. MCSO deputies served a search warrant at the Trudeau Mountain Road home on Oct. 31 and arrested the suspect without incident.
Following the arrest, law enforcement officers booked the suspect into the Mason County Jail.
The MCSO said deputies are continuing to investigate potential additional offenses.
