MASON COUNTY, Wash. — The Southeast Arcadia Point Road Boat Launch in Mason County is closed until further notice.
According to the sheriff’s office, someone drove their car off the launch and into the water.
A witness was able to rescue the driver. No one was hurt.
The sheriff’s office says the vehicle is currently about 30 feet offshore and presents a significant hazard to boaters launching from the location.
The launch will be closed until someone can recover the vehicle.
Deputies suspect that the driver was under the influence at the time of the crash.
