MUKILTEO, Wash. — A 47-year-old man was arrested on Oct. 17 after police found heroin, methamphetamine, and cash inside his vehicle at a Mukilteo shopping center, the Mukilteo Police Department (MPD) said.
MPD responded to Mukilteo Speedway following a report from a community member who saw a male slumped over in the driver’s seat of a car with drug paraphernalia present. Officers say they contacted the man, who denied wrongdoing, and arrested him for public use of a controlled substance.
During a search, MPD says they located cash and suspected drugs, as well as indications of additional contraband inside the vehicle. Police obtained a search warrant to conduct a full search of the car.
They say officers recovered more than 42 grams of heroin, more than 18 grams of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and $2,775 in cash.
Following the search, police added a charge of possession with intent to deliver.
