Man shot and killed at Lake Stevens apartment complex

LAKE STEVENS, Wash. — One Lake Stevens man was killed, and another was arrested after an early-morning shooting at an apartment complex Monday.

Lake Stevens detectives said an argument started inside a unit at Colonial Gardens in the 1700 block of Main Street and then moved outside to the parking lot, where the man was shot shortly before 9 a.m.

The victim, who was shot several times, died at the scene.

Responding officers found the 44-year-old suspect in the 1800 block of Main Street and took him into custody.

A gun was recovered.

Officers said the victim and suspect are believed to have known each other.

The victim’s name will be released by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office.
