One man in hospital after third shooting in four days in Kent

KENT, Wash. — Detectives are investigating a third shooting in the last four days at the same corner in Kent.

Just after 7 p.m. on Saturday, Kent Police said a man was shot in the lower body at a vigil honoring a man killed in a shooting on Friday.

This happened near the corner of Pacific Highway South and South Kent Des Moines Road.

On Saturday, police said the man was talking with officials when he was taken to the hospital.

A hospital official confirmed the man shot Saturday is in serious condition.

Family members told KIRO 7 that the 39-year-old man killed Friday was shot and killed when he visited a bus stop where a shooting had occurred on Wednesday.

It was at this bus stop that family members say the 39-year-old’s sons were shot mid-week.

The condition of the two sons is unclear.

“Whoever did this please come and tell us why – why,” the sister of the man killed told KIRO 7 News on Friday.

Officials have not released the name of the 39-year-old killed Friday.

Kent Police have not confirmed if the suspected gunman or gunmen have been arrested.
