LAKE FOREST PARK, Wash — Police are investigating a reported drive-by shooting that left a man injured Friday night in Lake Forest Park.
Officers responded around 10:28 p.m. to the area of Northeast 179th Court and 28th Avenue Northeast after several residents reported hearing numerous gunshots and seeing people running and screaming.
Police found a man who had been shot in the hip. Officers and fire crews provided first aid before taking him to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.
Police said preliminary information indicated the shooting may have been a drive-by. The suspect or suspects had left before officers arrived.
Investigators found a 9mm handgun and multiple shell casings at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
