KING COUNTY, Wash. — Law enforcement arrested a man accused of pulling a gun on an undercover detective.
It happened on August 20 on Highway 509 near 160th Street.
According to the King County Sheriff’s Office, a driver pulled up and pointed a handgun at the detective’s face.
The detective followed the suspect toward Ambaum Boulevard, where a bunch of patrol deputies were waiting.
The deputies conducted a ‘high-risk’ stop on the car and gave commands several times before taking the driver into custody.
Inside the car, the deputies say they found 3 handguns, cocaine, and a meth pipe.
“Here’s a tip. Never point a gun at anybody. It might just be a police officer. Case in point,” the department shared.
The man has previous convictions for domestic violence which means he cannot legally have a gun.
The King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has charged him with assault in the 2nd degree and unlawful possession of a firearm.
