SEATTLE, Wash. — With hockey season just around the corner, the Kraken announced today, Aug. 25, the seven artists creating seven unique designs for their 2026-2027 Common Thread jerseys.
The designs, which started back in 2021 with the Kraken’s inaugural season, symbolize “the idea that, regardless of our diverse backgrounds and unique experiences, we are all woven together by the same passion and devotion for our team,” the team’s website reads.
This year’s designs will be featured at Hispanic Heritage Night, Indigenous Peoples Night, AANHPI Night, Pride Night, Black History Night, Women in Hockey Night, and Green Night.
While specialty jerseys are not allowed to be worn on ice, due to NHL policies, Kraken players will sign the jerseys and auction them off. The proceeds will then go to One Roof Foundation and other Seattle organizations.
Kraken fans who purchase tickets through the team’s special ticket offers page can also get a limited-edition tumbler with the artist’s design.
