SEATAC, Wash. — Deputies with the King County Sheriff’s Department helped save a man’s life after he suffered a massive heart attack and drove into a telephone pole in SeaTac.
According to the department, Deputy C. Mulligan arrived at the scene of the single-car crash and found the driver breathing and moving but moaning.
A second deputy, Deputy J. Bartolo, arrived shortly after -- noted the driver was no longer making noises and could not find a pulse.
Both deputies requested help and removed the driver from the vehicle to a spot off the roadway.
"Deputy Bartolo immediately began chest compressions while Deputy Mulligan retrieved his bag valve mask so they could provide ventilation to the victim driver," the Sheriff's Department wrote in a news release.

Speaking with the driver’s family later, Mulligan and Bartolo found out the driver suffered a massive heart attack.
