KING COUNTY, Wash. — Stuart Robinson, former special agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation, has been named King County’s first Inspector General.

According to a county statement, Robinson will investigate complaints of misconduct and misuse of public funds to strengthen government oversight.

“Ultimately, this is about effective, transparent government and the King County Council’s dedication to providing it,” Robinson said. “I am incredibly honored to be leading an organization that will provide integrity, oversight, and measurable results for King County.”

Robinson will serve as the inspector for a term of five years, according to the King County Council, which created the position.
