Kayem Foods Inc. is recalling approximately 1.58 million pounds of ready-to-eat meat and poultry products that may have been stored at improper temperatures, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service.

The recalled products were produced between approximately March 31 and Oct. 7, 2026, and were shipped to retail and foodservice locations nationwide and in Hong Kong.

The products carry establishment numbers “EST. M/P 7839,” “EST. P 20935A” or “EST. M 9520” inside the USDA mark of inspection.

According to FSIS, the issue was discovered after Kayem Foods received a complaint from a retail customer about products arriving warm on Oct. 1. The company investigated and determined that various ready-to-eat meat and poultry products had been stored in a warehouse cooler that experienced temperature deviations.

There have been no confirmed reports of illness connected to the recalled products, according to FSIS.

The agency said it is concerned some of the products could still be in consumers’ refrigerators. People who have purchased affected products are urged not to eat them and should either throw them away or return them to the place of purchase.

The recall covers products of various weights. Consumers can check product labels and UPC codes included with USDA Recall 026-2026 to determine whether a product they purchased is affected.
