ISLAND COUNTY, Wash. — A 15-year-old Island County boy is hospitalized and an 18-year-old man has been arrested after a fight ended in a stabbing.
According to the Island County Sheriff’s Office, the incident began with a fight involving several teens, including the 15-year-old and the 18-year-old.
Investigators say the 15-year-old was stabbed several times in the chest and back.
Deputies responded to a home on Fish Road in Freeland, where the injured teen was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center. He was reportedly in stable condition.
Deputies later found the 18-year-old at his home in Oak Harbor and arrested him.
The sheriff’s office says the case remains under investigation.
