Homicide investigation in Federal Way after 19-year-old found shot in car

A 19-year-old man is dead in Federal Way in a suspected homicide.

Shortly before 10 a.m. Monday, officers responded to the sounds of illegal gunshots near the Silver Shadow Apartments in the 27600 block of Pacific Highway South. They found a vehicle in the complex with the 19-year-old inside. Officers and firefighters tried to save him, but he died at the scene.

Federal Way police said about 1:40 p.m. that the shooting was being investigated as a homicide. There was no suspect information or additional details released.
