BOTHELL, Wash. — Drivers who use Interstate 405 should plan ahead for full weekend closures in the southbound lanes starting Oct. 9 in the Bothell area.
Southbound I-405 will close from State Route 527 to State Route 522 on Friday, Oct. 9 at 10 p.m. to Monday, Oct. 12 at 4 a.m.
A detour will be in place.
The following ramps will also close:
- SR 527 on-ramp to southbound I-405
- Northeast 195th on-/off-ramps to I-405
- Southbound I-405 off-ramp to SR 522
Crews will be working on drainage, pavement reconstruction and bridge repair.
According to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), there will be additional congestion on Sunday, Oct. 11 when the Seahawks host the San Francisco 49ers at Lumen Field.
On top of the construction on 405, northbound I-5 in Seattle will be reduced to two lanes across the Ship Canal Bridge.
