SEATTLE, Wash. — One patient is being taken to the hospital after a garbage truck compressed a load containing a hazardous material in the in the 600 block of Harvard Avenue East, Thursday afternoon.
According to a Seattle Fire Department statement, crews are on scene investigating. SFD says the patient is in stable condition.
SFD says after the scene was cleared, the truck was release back to Seattle Public Utilities who will work to dispose of it.
600 block of Harvard Ave E.: It was a garbage truck that compressed a load containing a potentially hazardous material. Once the scene was determined to safe, the truck was released back to the waste management company, who will work with SPU on where to safely dispose of it.
