Free COVID-19 drive-thru testing begins Wednesday at T-Mobile Park

SEATTLE — The Seattle Mariners, the city of Seattle, QFC and Fred Meyer have partnered to offer free COVID-19 drive-thru testing at the T-Mobile Park parking garage.

The testing will be open Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the south entrance.

Registration is required. You can register here or by calling 1-888-8522567. Select option one and then option three.

Those looking to get tested will first have to use a virtual screening tool based on guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to see if they are eligible.

Those deemed eligible will then select a testing location and appointment time before receiving an email confirmation with pre-appointment paperwork to complete.

Officials said when people arrive for their test, they should have their photo ID ready and should leave their window rolled up for check in until a health care practitioner comes to the car to administer the test.

Patients will remain in their cars throughout the process. The process will be done in just minutes by using self-administered nasal swabs.

Patients should expect to receive their results within 48 hours. Officials said they have capacity for 250 cars per day.

“I am grateful that this new partnership with QFC, Fred Meyer, and the Mariners will allow us to expand testing even further, a critical first step to protect communities as we look towards safely and responsibly reopening our City,” Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan said in a news release.
