Fred Meyer is holding an in-store hiring event at stores across Washington on Saturday.
The event is part of an effort by the company’s Multicultural Associate Resource Group to hire thousands of new employees across Washington, Oregon, Alaska and Idaho.
“The group’s mission is to provide inclusive recruitment, professional development, and professional guidance to help support diversity at Fred Meyer,” the company said in a news release.
Fred Meyer said many managers who started with the company in various roles worked their way up, including the company’s new president, Todd Kammeyer.
There are opportunities to learn and advance with on-demand training resources. Fred Meyer also offers tuition assistance, and diversity, equity and inclusion training.
Full and part-time jobs are available across all areas, including stores, manufacturing and distribution.
Associates receive discounts on groceries, electronics, clothing, home décor and more.
Applicants may attend the event on Oct. 8 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., or apply online at www.jobs.fredmeyer.com.
